Tommi Suomela

I started at Hefmec in 2026 as a mechanical designer and as a graduate student as part of the design team.

I studied mechanical engineering at LUT University, where I specialised in welding and laser technology, additive manufacturing and composite and hybrid materials. My background in maintenance and process industries, as well as my engineering hobbies, bring a strong practical implementation perspective to my designs.

In my spare time, I can often be found playing board sports, going to the gym, playing basketball or on the motorbike.
