Risto Salonen

I joined Hefmec in 2026 and work as a mechanical designer in our design team.

I hold a Master of Science (Technology) in Mechanical Engineering, and during my studies I specialised in structural analysis and manufacturing methods. Before Hefmec, I worked as a mechanical designer in forklift product development and as a maintenance supervisor at a paper mill. This experience has given me a practical perspective on design.

In my free time, my passion is motorcycling, both on the road and off-road. In winter, you will find me on the ski slopes.
