Pertti Yli-Kohtamäki

I started at Hefmec in 2016. At first, I worked as a design consultant in the automotive industry and as a process and tooling designer for clients in the pharmaceutical industry. Since then, the range of industries represented by our clients has steadily expanded, and I’ve become familiar with everything from semiconductor chips to luxury cruise ships.

I currently work with clients in the pharmaceutical and process industries. My responsibilities now also include consulting on production development, serving as a project engineer for equipment procurement projects, and preparing validation documentation. In addition, I assist my supervisors by mentoring our company’s junior designers and consultants.

I spend my free time doing 3D printing, picking berries, reading fiction and nonfiction, following the stock market, working out at the gym, and listening to music. My longest-standing and most cherished hobby is wind music; I’ve played in various orchestras since I was a child, and my instrument is the baritone horn.
